Here at Birchalls the Riding Shop we take pride in the quality of our products as well as the service that you receive from start to finish. All our orders are packed inhouse by one of our team members using packaging that is both environmentally friendly as well as being suitable to protect the goods being sent. The shop is open for customers at the following times during the Christmas Period:

Christmas Delivery 

Please note our online business will be closed for the Christmas period from end of day Friday 22nd December until 27th December. Any orders placed after 2pm on 22nd December will not be processed or dispatched until 28th December. Please bear in mind there may also be delivery delays at this time of year due to high amounts of parcels with the couriers.

Christmas Click & Collect

Click and collect orders will proceed as normal on the days that we are open. It is not possible to click and collect items on 25th, 26th and 27th December or the 1st January 2024.

Standard UK Delivery

We aim to dispatch all orders within 2 working days of receiving payment and have them delivered within 5 working days from the dispatch date. Our delivery charge is a standard rate of £4.99 per order. We use both Royal Mail and DPD as our couriers, the company we use for your order will depend on the total weight of your order and the delivery address. Once we have shipped your order you will be notified and sent a tracking number for your parcel.

FREE UK Delivery

We are pleased to offer FREE Delivery on orders over £75.00. Simply add all the items you require to the basket and our system will automatically apply free delivery. The service that we will use depends on the weight of your order as previously stated in this page.

Additional Delivery information

Please be aware that orders shipped with DPD will require a signature, if you are not in at the time of your order it will either be left in a designated safe spot or with a neighbour, depending on what has been specified. If your order has been shipped with the Royal Mail and you are not in at the time of delivery the parcel will either be left with a neighbour, a designated safe spot or returned to the local depot pending a collection or redelivery. If you have any additional delivery requests, please notify us via email or by phoning us immediately after placing your order and we will do our best to meet your requirements. All requests for safe spots such as ‘behind the gate’ or ‘leave in shed’ will be entirely at your own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any non-deliveries. At The One Stop Garden Shop we will always try to provide you with exactly what you have requested and ordered, in a condition that is acceptable to both you, as the consumer, and us, as the retailer. However, understandably, in extreme circumstances, orders may not be to the satisfaction of neither you nor ourselves, in which case please review our returns policy as specified below.

Items we are unable to deliver

Unfortunately, as we only deliver using small parcel couriers, we are unable to deliver large items such as bags of feed and bedding. These items are only available for click & collect or purchase in store. On some occasions we are able to offer local delivery of feed & bedding items for a charge of £10. Please contact us directly if you would like to enquire about our local feed & bedding delivery service.
